Account Deletion
You can delete your GymLog AI account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains how.
Option 1 — Delete in-app (recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is from inside the app:
- Open the GymLog AI app on your device.
- Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner.
- Tap Profile → Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm deletion when prompted.
Account deletion is permanent and processed immediately. Once confirmed, your account cannot be recovered.
Option 2 — Email request
If you no longer have the app installed, send a deletion request to support@gymlogai.de from the email address associated with your GymLog AI account. We will confirm the request and complete deletion within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
What gets deleted
The following personal data is permanently deleted from our systems:
- Your account record (email, user ID, authentication credentials).
- Profile data (display name, body stats, training goals, nutrition goals).
- All workout sessions, exercise sets, and logged data.
- All nutrition logs and food entries.
- All bodyweight entries.
- All uploaded food photos.
- AI chat history and request logs.
- Push notification tokens.
What is retained
For legal and operational reasons, some data may be retained for a limited period after deletion:
- Anonymized analytics events (PostHog): retained without identifying information for product analytics. Cannot be used to re-identify you.
- Anonymized crash reports (Sentry): retained without identifying information for app stability monitoring.
- Billing records related to Pro subscriptions: retained as required by German tax and accounting law (typically 10 years). These records do not include health, fitness, or nutrition data.
